Now that is snow

They said the snow was coming and we had a hard time believing them. But then we were surprized to see it actually accumilate. The kids had to put on their snow clothes to play out all day. As you can see they got pretty wet.
We wanted to make a snowman, but the snow isn't the same as Utah. It doesn't scrunch together very well.

Cameron was glad to get out his sled. He slide down our back yard right into the fence several times.

Then by night the snow fall turned into freezing rain and made everything thick ice by morning.
Lindsay got a new suit for Christmas and Cameron got a new sweater vest. Don't they look handsome?

the tank is full

We finally finally got our water clean and healthy in our fish tank. Amazingly our calico goldfish survived through it all. We then got two more fancy goldfish. This one is Cameron's. We call him Anikan.
This other one is Makayla's and we call her supergirl.
they are all good friends now and enjoy swimming around together
This is our sunken pirate. The bubbles make him move.

Our snow day

The kids went back to school for three days and then we got snow so they were home for 2 days. The kids were excited, they played out in it all day even though as you can see there wasn't really anything to play with.

We have limestone cliffs along our highways and freeways. All year long they have little water falls going down them and then when it is really cold they make these pretty ice cycles.

New years day

On New year's day we drove down to Alabama to spend the weekend with Heidi and Ben. Ben was off for the Christmas break and he took us to the Aviation Museum where he shared his knowledge and we got to get inside of some helicopters
